• Operation of external trigger
The counter is started when the effective edge (rising, falling, or both edges) is input to the TIN pin. Figure
10.12 shows the operation of the external trigger in the reload mode.

• Operation of gate input
Counting is performed while the effective level (H or L level) is input to the TIN pin. Figure 10.13 shows
the gate input operation in the reload mode.
