This command is used to enable sending SNMP notifications for port security address violation. Use
the no form of this command to disable sending SNMP notifications.
snmp-server enable traps port-security [trap-rate TRAP-RATE]

By default, this option is disabled.

Usage Guideline
Use this command to enable or disable SNMP notifications for port security address violation, and
configure the number of traps per second.
Example
This example shows how to enable sending trap for port security address violation and set the
number of traps per second to 3.

allowed to gain access rights to a port. Use the no form of this command to disable port security or to
delete a secure MAC address.

snmp-server enable traps port-security
(Optional) Specifies the number of traps per second. The range is from
0 to 1000. The default value ("0") indicates an SNMP trap to be
generated for every security violation.
switchport port-security
(Optional) Specifies to set the maximum number of secure MAC
addresses allowed. If not specified, the default value is 32. The valid
range is from 0 to 6656.
(Optional) Specifies to drop all packets from the insecure hosts at the
port-security process level, but does not increment the security-
violation count.
