Ingredients
4 slices white bread
2 tomatoes
1 small green pepper
1 shallot
4 slices of cheese
(e.g. Emmentaler)
1 tbsp oil
Herb butter for spreading
Salt
Cayenne pepper
 
>> Tip:
The herb butter can be
substituted with plain butter or a
spicy spread.
Tomatoes and peppers

Serves 4

Wash the pepper and
tomatoes, peel the shallot
and chop into rings.

Finely dice the pepper and
slice the tomatoes.

Heat the oil in a frying pan
and briefl y sweat the diced
pepper and shallot.

Toast the bread on the rack,
turning once (see below for
settings), remove from the rack
and spread with herb butter.

Put tomato slices onto the
toast, season with salt and
pepper and add the diced
paprika, shallot and cheese.

Place the toast on the rack
under the grill with the
universal tray on the lowest
shelf level and grill (see below
for settings).
