5050/5100 User's Manual
This menu is used to enable/disable the auto tear off feature. It is
only available in the Form Saver 5100 model printer. If enabled, the
printer will automatically eject the paper to the tear off position after
the shuttle stops.
Use the following procedures to set the auto features.
1. While in the TearOff Options menu, press the ◄ (left) or ► (right)
menu browse key until Auto is displayed in the lower right corner
of the LCD.
2. Press the ▼ (down) menu browse key to access the Auto options.
If the auto feature is enabled, there are two additional settings to be
configured. A Time Setting configures the printer for a specific period
of time to wait after all data is printed before ejecting the paper. A
Start Eject setting configures the printer to advance to the tear off
position from anywhere on the paper (Timeout Only) or from the top
of form position only (TOF and Time Out.)
The following describes the additional settings if Enable is selected.
1. Press the ◄ (left) or ► (right) menu browse key until Enable is
displayed in the lower right corner of the LCD.
2. Press the Select key to access the Enable options. Auto will be
displayed in the upper left corner of the LCD and the available
options will display in the lower right corner of the LCD.
3. Press the ◄ (left) or ► (right) menu browse key until the desired
option is displayed. Press the Select key to select the desired
submenu. The Time option is user set. The range of values for the
time option is 1 to 10 seconds.
Use the following procedures to use this setting:
1. Press the Select key to access. The option to be set will be
displayed in the lower right corner of the LCD. Notice the cursor
(underline) is now shown under the first digit. The horizontal ◄
► (left or right) menu browse keys position the cursor (underline)
under the digit to be changed; the vertical ▲ ▼ (up or down)
menu browse keys increment/decrement the selected digit by
one. There is a maximum allowed setting of 10:00.
2. Press the Clear key after all changes are complete and the
desired value is displayed in the lower right corner of the LCD.
Pressing the Clear key does not erase the values entered, but does
allow the user to exit the User Set menu.
Repeat this section if further changes are necessary.
