TEAROFF OPTIONS

5050/5100 User's Manual
This menu is used to modify the tear off feature settings for this
printer. The TEAROFF function is to position the paper for tear off at
the fanfold perforation; therefore the TEAROFF postion is relative to
and dependent on the TOF setting and Form Length setting. The
default TEAR OFF settings assume that TOF is set to print the first
line at the physical top of the form (just below the fanfold
perforation).
The TEAROFF postion is factory set to an optimum position
depending on whether the REAR or TOP paper path is selected. (TOP
paper path is only available on pedestal cabinet models.)
The TEAROFF position can be adjusted up to +/- 2 inches from the
default value at any time while the TEAROFF function is active using
the ↑ up or ↓ down arrow keys located on the left side of the control
panel. The TEAROFF function is active when the display shows
TEAROFF, such as after depressing the TEAROFF key.
Adjusting the TEAROFF position does not change the TOF position.
However, changing the TOF position does affect the TEAROFF
position. Therefore, the TOF should be set prior to adjusting the
TEAROFF. (See Setting Top of Form on page 36 for instructions.)
The TEAROFF position is saved to nonvolatile storage and is reset to
factory defaults only via the action of the Maintenance | Reset to
Deflts | Total Init menu operation. (See Reset to Deflts on page 140
for instructions.)
1. While in the Set Up menu, press the ◄ (left) or ► (right) menu
