This option is used to configure the XON/XOFF (also known as
DC1/DC3) settings for both RS232 and RS422 serial type.

1. While in the Protocol menu, press the ◄ (left) or ► (right) menu
browse key until the XON/XOFF option is displayed.
2. Press the ▼ (down) menu browse key to access the XON/XOFF
options.
3. Press the ◄ (left) or ► (right) menu browse keys until the desired
XON/XOFF option is displayed in the LCD.
4. Press the Select key to enable or disable the setting. The < symbol
will now immediately follow the selected (saved) setting.
This option is used to configure CD(DTR) settings for RS232 serial
type. This is also known as Data Terminal Ready.

2. Press the ▼ (down) menu browse key to access the CD(DTR)
options.
3. Press the ◄ (left) or ► (right) menu browse keys until the desired
CD(DTR) option is displayed in the LCD.
4. Press the Select key to enable or disable an option. The < symbol
will now immediately follow the enabled setting.
Meaning
XOFF is transmitted to the host by the printer when
the print is unable to receive more data. XON is
transmitted to the host by the printer when the
printer is ready to receive more data.
XOFF is transmitted by the printer when it goes offline
and XON is transmitted by the printer when it goes
online.
XOFF is transmitted by the printer when a fault is
detected. XON is transmitted by the printer when the
fault has been cleared.
Printer sends XOFF signal every 20 characters until
host stops sending and buffer is consumed to below
the high trip point.
Printer sends XON every 3 seconds while ONLINE,
idle, and no faults.
Meaning
DTR signal is used to reflect if the printer is ready
(able to receive data) or busy (currently unable to
receive data.)
DTR signal is used to reflect the printer is online or
offline.
DTR signal is used to reflect whether a fault
condition exists.
