This menu is used to set or clear horizontal tabs. The Horiz Tab may
be set By Column, By Inches, or Clear All Tabs.
The first two digits represent the tab ID and the last three digits
are the tab location. The number of tab IDs available is
dependent on the emulation selected. See "Horizontal/Vertical
Tab Id Maximum Slots" table in Appendix H.
1. While in Set Up menu, press ◄ (left) or ► (right) menu browse key
until Horiz Tab is displayed in the lower right corner of the LCD.
2. Press the ▼ (down) key to access the horizontal tab submenus.
Horiz Tab is displayed in the upper left corner of the LCD.
3. Press the ◄ (left) or ► (right) menu browse keys and select Clear
All Tabs, By Columns, or By Inches. Press the Select key to select
one of these options. Hor Tabs Cols, or Hor Tabs IN will be
displayed in the upper left corner of LCD.
4. The first 16 columns and inches settings are preset settings and
are selected using the Select key. The remaining settings are
user-set. (Press the Select key again to modify the horizontal tab
setting ). Notice the cursor (underline) is now shown under the
first digit and the default number is 000. The four menu browse
keys revert to data entry operation. The horizontal ◄ ► (left or
right) keys position the cursor (underline) under the digit to be
changed; the vertical ▲ ▼ (up or down) menu browse keys
increment/decrement the selected digit by one. Each time a user-
set tab is entered, it is associated with the tab ID that places it
chronologically in sequence. For example, by default the first
Horizontal tab 01: is set to 008. If the user enters a new tab
position of 001, it will be associated with tab ID 01: and 008 will
be moved to tab ID 02 and so on until the maximum horizontal
tab IDs are used.
5. Press the Clear key after all changes are complete and the
desired value is displayed in the lower right corner of the LCD.
Pressing the Clear key does not erase the values entered, but does
allow the user to exit the User Set menu.
Repeat this section if further changes are necessary.
