Code Page
This selects the EBDIC Code Page for SCS and IPDS. See the Set Up
Menu Map on page 207 in Appendix I for a complete listing of
available selections.
1. While in the IBM Format menu, press the ◄ (left) or ► (right)
menu browse key until Code Page is displayed in the lower right
corner of the LCD.
2. Press the ▼ (down) menu browse key to access the Code Page
options.
3. Press the ◄ (left) or ► (right) menu browse key until the desired
option is displayed. Press the Select key to enable or disable an
option. The < symbol will immediately follow an enabled option.
Code Pg Override
This is used to enable/disable Code Page Override. When enabled,
the printer will override any host-set command which attempts to
change the Code Page. The current menu selection is used.
1. While in the IBM Format menu, press the ◄ (left) or ► (right)
menu browse key until Code Pg Override is displayed in the lower
right corner of the LCD.
2. Press the ▼ (down) menu browse key to access the Code Pg
Override options.
3. Press the ◄ (left) or ► (right) menu browse key until the desired
option is displayed. Press the key to enable or disable an option.
The < symbol will immediately follow an enabled option.
Draft = High Speed
If an SCS or IPDS command is received that defines Draft font and
this option is disabled, the Draft font (standard 7 dot rows high) is
selected. If Draft is requested and this option is enabled, the High
Speed Draft font (5 dot rows high) is selected.
High Speed greatly improves throughput, but not all characters
required by all IBM Code Pages are available.
1. While in the IBM Format menu option, press the ◄ (left) or ►
(right) key until Draft = High Speed is displayed in the lower right
corner of the LCD.
2. Press the ▼ (down) key to access the Draft = High Speed menu
options.
3. Press the ◄ (left) or ► (right) menu browse key until the desired
option is displayed. Press the Select key to enable or disable an
option. The < symbol will immediately follow an enabled option.
