Offline printing tasks
Start an offline print job

You can perform offline printing tasks by entering commands through
the keyboard.
Use this task to begin printing an offline job.
Start Job task To start an offline print job, enter the following command:
START [[ jde ][,[ jdl ][,[S | M][,[ copies ] [,[[REPORTS:r1,r2,...]
[,,TD n ]|[,TD n ]] | [DISC:file.ext FORM= form . frm ]]]]]]

START command parameters and descriptions
Description
Specifies the command, to be followed by any or
all of the specifications as needed (often
abbreviated as STA).
The name or number of the job descriptor entry,
which may be up to six characters in length.
The name or number of the job descriptor library
which contains the jde used. The name or
number may be up to six characters in length.
Single report mode processes only one report at
a time. Use this mode when changes must be
made to the job specification from one report to
the next. The system assumes multiple report
mode if you insert a comma instead of S or M.
Multiple report mode means that the LPS
continuously processes all reports in the job.
Processing automatically sequences from report
to report, volume to volume, until all reports are
processed. The system assumes multiple report
mode if you insert a comma instead of S or M.
The requested number of prints for each report.
Allows you to specify the sequence and set of
reports to be processed. In the example that
follows, the LPS was directed to print the first
report, then the third through the fifth, and finally
the second. The system assumes you want
prints of all the reports if you do not use this
option. You are not required to use a comma if
the REPORTS option is not used.
