Open-reel tape drive procedures
Power on the open-reel tape drive

The following sections contain instructions for handling the open-reel
tape drive.
To power on the open-reel tape drive:
Step 1. Press the Power switch to the ON position by pressing down on the
side marked (see figure 6-1).

Step 2. Press the Reset button to open the loading door.

The loading door opens and you can load an open-reel tape.
Note: If "OK" appears on the message display, but the door is
closed, press the Reset button to open it. If this fails, tap lightly
on the door to open it
