Configuring BGP Extensions

In Kompella mode, VSI uses extended BGP as the signaling protocol to distribute VC labels. Therefore,
you need to configure BGP parameters on the PEs. For configuration information, refer to BGP
Configuration in the IP Routing Volume.
Configuration prerequisites
Before configuring BGP extensions, complete these tasks:
Configuring IGP on the PEs and P devices to guarantee the IP connectivity of the MPLS backbone
Configuring MPLS basic capability for the MPLS backbone on the PEs and P devices
Configuring BGP related parameters on the PEs
Configuration procedure
Follow these steps to configure BGP extensions:

Enter system view
Enter BGP view
Enter VPLS address family
view
Activate a peer
For configurations in VPLS address family view, refer to MPLS L3VPN Configuration in the MPLS
Volume.
Configuring MPLS L2VPN
You must enable MPLS L2VPN before performing VPLS related configurations. For details about MPLS
L2VPN configuration, refer to MPLS L2VPN Configuration in the MPLS Volume.
Follow these steps to configure MPLS L2VPN:

capability and enter MPLS view
