Example for Configuring BFD for MPLS LDP

Network requirements
In a hierarchical VPLS network as shown in the following figure, Switch A works as a UPE device,
and Switch B and Switch C work as the active and the standby NPE devices, respectively. MPLS is
enabled on the interfaces connecting Switch A with Switch B or Switch A with Switch C. The
switches run OSPF and are reachable to each other at the network layer.
When the link between Switch A and Switch B is brought down, BFD can quickly detect the link
failure and notify it to MPLS LDP and the MPLS MFW for a quick active/standby PW switchover.
