This command displays information about the area. The <
area that is being displayed.

Routing Commands
Shows source protocol/routes that are being redistributed.
Possible values are static, connected, BGP, or RIP.
Shows the metric of the routes being redistributed.
Shows whether the routes are External Type 1 or External
Type 2.
Shows the decimal value attached to each external route.
For redistributing routes into OSPF, the scope of redistribu-
tion for the specified protocol.
Shows the access list used to filter redistributed routes.
show ip ospf area <areaid>

Is the area id of the requested OSPF area.
Is a number representing the aging interval for this area.
Is a number representing the external routing capabilities for
this area.
Is the configured authentication type to use for this area.
Is the number of times that the intra-area route table has been
calculated using this area's link-state database.
The total number of area border routers reachable within this
area.
Total number of link-state advertisements in this area's link-
state database, excluding AS External LSAs.
A number representing the Area LSA Checksum for the spec-
ified AreaID excluding the external (LS type 5) link-state
advertisements.
