boot option menu password YKSUH ("HUSKY", backwards), which will
not be displayed. This will display the boot menu:
4. Select the boot option you want by pressing the appropriate number key:
• Select 1 to set the CompactFlash device as drive C and boot from it.
• Select 4 to set the CompactFlash device as drive C, but boot from drive
A. (When you select this option, another menu will be displayed, as
described below in section 10.2.1.)
Note: The standard MP2500 does not provide support for ATA PC
Cards, so boot device options 2, 3 and 5 are not valid. If you select one
of these options by mistake, the boot process will not complete and the
unit will "hang". Repeat the above procedure from step 1 and select a
valid boot option device.
5. Press E and the unit will boot from the selected drive, which must
contain the MP2500 operating system. If you chose option 4 to boot from
a diskette, you must set up the drive as described below.
Note:
Whilst the unit is booting, there will be a noticeable delay and the
display may go dark.

10.2.1 Booting from a diskette

If an MP2500 will not boot from its internal drive, you can boot it from a
suitable diskette, as follows.
To boot from a diskette:
1. Connect the unit's serial port to a serial port on a PC, using a standard
"crossed" (null modem) cable.
