6. Issuing the Unit

Once you are satisfied that the MP2500 and installed application work
correctly, you can give the unit to its intended user. Most applications are
designed to 'lock in' the user ie to prevent the user exiting the application
and deny them access to facilities which they do not need. Before issuing
the MP2500, make sure that it is set up correctly and that the application is
running.
You may also want to provide other items, such as:
•
The MP2500 User Leaflet, which describes how to operate the
MP2500.
•
Instructions (or training) on using the application that you have installed.
•
Spare batteries.
•
The MP2500 AC Adaptor, if you have fitted rechargeable batteries.
Warn the user not to attempt to use the adaptor if they fit non-
rechargeable batteries.
•
Accessories, such as a neck strap.
Make sure that the battery cap is tight, to avoid the ingress of dust or damp.
