Chapter 26: INT 15H, BIOS Extension Functions [+]
If you want to use the bold font, load its definition table
into memory immediately after the end of the normal
font table ie exactly 800H after its start. Remember to
set the bold attribute mask (with INT 10H function
7BH) AFTER selecting the custom font.
The application should select the default font again
before exiting, as the next application will probably
overwrite the custom font table, producing a scrambled
display on the LCD.
The default, restored on a cold start, is to use the
default font.

ES:DI=pointer to buffer
AH=0 and CF=0 (success) and buffer contains:
byte 0: length of serial number
byte 1..16 (max): serial number
OR
AH=0FFH and CF=1 (failure) and buffer is unchanged
Use this function to read the MP2500's unit serial
number into the specified buffer. The unit serial
number is the same as shown on the unit's label.
Note that the unit serial number is quite distinct from
the serial number accessed by functions 6CH and
72H.
