Commands are executed by typing certain keypad, function and control
keys. These provide the following facilities:
Typing mode
CHARACTER INSERT
Cursor movement
CURSOR KEYS
WORD SKIP
TAB
LINE START/END
Screen movement
PAGE UP/DOWN
FILE START/END
Searching
FIND
REPLACE
Deleting text
DELETE RIGHT
DELETE LEFT
Chapter 12: The Editor
Switch between overtype mode (typed
characters replace characters at the cursor) and
insert mode (typed characters are inserted
before text at the cursor)
Move up/down/left/right a character/line at a time
Move left/right a word
Move right to the next tab stop (normally every 8
columns)
Move to the start or end of the line
Scroll up/down a screenful
Scroll to the start/end of the file
Move to the next occurrence of the specified text
Replace the next occurrence of the specified text
Delete the character at cursor
Delete the character to the left of the cursor
