automatically, to show the most recent output (eg a prompt waiting for input,
or your typing). You may also control it by using special keys (see section
7.3).

7.3.2 Visibility

The LCD screen gives good results in most lighting conditions. For use in
poor light, an optional backlight can be specified.
To adjust the LCD screen for maximum clarity, place it at the angle you will
be working, then:

the display appears clearest.
