To use I.EXE, simply type I and press E. This will display a menu like
this:
Press the number key which corresponds to the unit's keyboard layout, or
any other key to quit without changing the keyboard. 0 resets the keyboard
definition to the default (American English). The keyboard redefinition
happens immediately and will remain in force until the MP2500 is rebooted.
To make the keyboard definition "permanent", add a command to
AUTOEXEC.BAT to run I.EXE with the appropriate number. For example,
to select a Danish keyboard layout, add I 3.
CAUTION:
Do NOT use KEYB.COM to provide support for a non-
English keyboard. Use I.EXE!

5.5 Non-volatile configuration

Using the UTIL utility, you can configure the following aspects of a unit:
• Enable or disable the Welcome screen.
• Enable or disable backlight resume mode (if this option is fitted).
• Change its serial number.
• Change its oem id.
• Rechargeable battery type selection of either NiMH or NiCd type.
