13.4 Connecting up

The MP2500 is provided with one 9-way D-type. You can connect or
disconnect at any time: you do not need to power down first.
Note:
Never try to force a mating connector home. Check that the
connector is correctly aligned. If it won't fit easily, check for
orientation or damage.
Standard cable are available from H
cables, refer to Appendix F for pinouts and section 13.7 for example cables
you'll need to connect to the most popular computers and peripherals and
information on complying with EMC and FCC legislation.
Remember that if you are using MP2500 communications, the behaviour of
the handshaking lines is configured by the UTIL utility (or the application
you are using). See section 10.1.5.

13.5 Configuring MP2500 communications

When you reboot (or turn on for the first time), the default H
communications is selected, with the following settings:
