You are assumed to have a working knowledge of:
80386 assembler, or how to call interrupts from your high-level
language
Standard MS-DOS interrupts
Standard IBM PC BIOS interrupts
IBM PC hardware environment
If you don't, you will need to refer to the MS-DOS Programmer's Manual
and other standard texts on IBM compatibles and 80386 assembler.

16.3 Conventions

The same conventions are used in this part of the guide as in previous
parts, but they are supplemented in places by the following:

This is an IBM PC-AT facility (interrupt, device, register, etc) which
is not implemented on MP2500.
[+]
This is an extra MP2500 facility (interrupt, device, register, etc), ie
one not implemented on the IBM PC-AT.
