FAG Detector battery pack and charger
FAG Detector battery pack
The battery pack is for use as an exchange battery for the FAG Detector II & III.
General description of function
The battery pack in NiMH-technology with low self-discharge has a nominal
capacity according to the type plate and a nominal voltage of 4.8 V. This battery
pack may only be charged with the FAG Detector or the accessory FAG battery
charging station and the accessory connector charger, otherwise the warranty will
be considered invalid.
The battery pack has in each case 3 terminal contacts on the inside and outside.
The contacts on the inside serve the supply of electronics of the FAG Detector and
are protected by in battery pack inserted fuse element from circuit-proof. The
contacts on the outside are exclusively for charging the battery pack in the
accessory charging station.
The contacts on the inside of the battery pack are protected against short
circuit by an inner fuse element. Generally a short circuit may cause a very
strong heating. This is to be avoided by all means.
An inappropriate use of the battery pack may cause an exorbitant rise of
temperature, fire and/or explosion and personal injury. Please note the
following instructions:
Charge the battery pack only the way described above.
Do not heat or burn the battery pack.
Do not modify, fractionalize, wrap or short circuit the battery pack.
Do not short circuit the contacts (Attention with conducting undergrounds).
Do not drop or blow the battery pack.
Do not suspend battery pack into direct sunlight. Do not let lie battery pack
in proximity of heating elements or for longer in the car.
Protect battery pack from humidity of fluid.
Protect contacts from dirt, fluids or other substances.
Protect the appliance from oil, grease, aggressive detergents or thinners
as they may destroy the appliance.
If the appliance fell down, e.g. from table, the safety of the Detector
must be checked immediately by a trained professional.
