Technical Manual
The up/down motor initial speed can be adjusted individually to both directions to suit the var-
ious needs of the equipment operators and to compensate for the individual frictions and
weight balances of the equipment.
In this mode the end limit sensors are not checked to the direction under modification.
This allows to get the Z-carriage easily in its normal operating range if it was for some
reason jammed outside the limit sensor and had lost the right position information.
See chapter UP/DOWN motor for information of the operating philosophy.
Select the Motor up adjustment from the Service settings list. The display shown below
appears.
The current upward starting speed of the vertical carriage as a percentage of the maximum
speed (00-99) is shown on the display. The speed indication is relative, 00 meaning the mini-
mum and 99 the maximum possible slow adjustment speed. 00 is not stop and 99 is about
half of the maximum speed of the motor.
Touch the right and left arrows to increase or decrease the speed. The new value will appear
on the display.
The speed can be checked by moving the equipment with the UP or DOWN arrow fields. Note
that the direction under modification never accelerates to the full speed but continues at the
slow speed to allow the proper verification of it. The opposite direction operates normally.
Touch the OK field to accept the new speed.
