PANORAMIC X-RAY BEAM ADJUSTMENT

WARNING: DO NOT ADJUST THE POSITION OF THE PRIMARY COLLIMATOR MECHA-
NISM WHILE X-RAYS ARE BEING GENERATED. CHECK THE BEAM POSITION,
ADJUST THE POSITION WITH THE X-RAYS SWITCHED OFF AND THEN RECHECK THE
POSITION. IF THE BEAM IS STILL MISALIGNED REPEAT THE OPERATION.
THE CEPH PRIMARY COLLIMATORS ARE ALSO ADJUSTED ACCORDING TO THE
INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN IN THIS SECTION.
If the beam is too far to the left or right of the alignment rectangle it must be centered.

A microprocessor controlled motor determines the position of each collimator. If the
beam is readjusted to the left or right the new position must be reprogrammed into the
memory.
Enter the service settings mode if you are not already in it.
From the list of Service settings select Primary collimator.
