POWER SUPPLY PCB INDICATOR LIGHTS
D26: +15V
D27: +5V
D9: AC OK
D8: 390V OK
Technical Manual
Indicator light for primary 15V operating voltage. The light is normally always ON.
If the light is OFF, the X-ray unit does not operate. Check the following (in this order):
1)
Check the mains fuses and main switch operation.
2)
Measure the mains voltage from the connector J3 on the Power supply PCB using the
multimeter.
3)
If the previous OK, replace the Power supply PCB.
Indicator light for primary 5V operating voltage. The light is normally always ON.
If the light is OFF, check the following:
1)
Check the light D26. If it is OFF, perform the checks described above.
2)
If the light D26 is ON, there is failure on 5V operating voltage feeding or short circuit on
the Power supply PCB. Replace the Power supply PCB.
The indicator light is ON when the mains voltage is > 85V. The light is normally always ON.
The under voltage lockout will stop the PFC stage operation and interrupt he exposure. The
undervoltage will cause the indicator light to switch off e.g. at the end of the exposure. Error
message 85 (Power supply PCB internal voltage too low) is related to this.
If the light is OFF, check the following (in this order):
1)
Check the light D26. If it is OFF, perform the checks described in section "D26: +15V"
on page G-3.
2)
Measure the mains voltage feeding from the connector J3 on the Power supply PCB
using the multimeter. If the mains voltage is <90V, repair the mains power supply.
3)
In case of Error 85 measure the mains voltage during the exposure. If the voltage is
<85V the mains impedance is too high. Connect the X-ray unit to the low impedance
mains. Reducing the exposure parameters (kV or mA) might help.
4)
If all the previous OK, replace the Power supply PCB.
The indicator light is ON when the PFC chopper is operated and the intermediate circuit volt-
age is >365VDC. The light is normally always ON. The watch-dog will stop the PFC chopper
operation. The undervoltage will cause the indicator light to switch off e.g. at the end of the
exposure. Error message 85 (Power supply PCB internal voltage too low) is related to this.
If the light is OFF, check the following (in this order):
1)
Check the light D26. If it is OFF, perform the checks described in section "D26: +15V"
on page G-3.
2)
If the light D9 is OFF, perform the checks described in section "D9: AC OK" on page G-
3.
3)
If both the lights are ON, replace the Power supply PCB.
