Orientate the cephalometric beam alignment tool so that it is vertical and then place it in the
cephalometric cassette holder. Position it so that it is on the left of the cassette holder.

Stand behind the tube head and protect yourself from radiation. Press and hold down the
exposure button.
The soft tissue filter will filter a narrow area of the left side of the radiation beam.
The image of the radiation beam from collimator number 4 will appear on the alignment tool.
The radiation beam must appear within the borders of the rectangle marked on the alignment
tool. If it does not refer to section 2.3 "Primary collimator adjustment, Planmeca Proline XC
Pan/Ceph X-ray unit" on page D-12.
