PANORAMIC X-RAY BEAM ADJUSTMENT
Chapter E - DIMAX3 DIGITAL SYSTEM ADJUSTMENT
Stand behind the tube head and protect yourself from radiation. Press and hold down the
exposure button. The image of the radiation beam from collimator number 1 on the alignment
tool.
The radiation beam from collimator number 1 must appear within the borders of the rectangle
marked on the alignment tool and fill the lower 80 - 85% of the rectangle. If the beam is not
aligned correctly refer to section 2.5 "Radiation beam adjustment, Planmeca Proline XC Pan/
Ceph X-ray unit" on page E-19.
When the collimator has been checked, and if necessary adjusted, exit the service settings
mode and take a ball phantom exposure to check the position of the patient positioning mech-
anism, see section 4 "PATIENT POSITIONING MECHANISM" on page E-35.
