This command is used to configure the name of an MST region. Use the no form of this command to revert to
the default setting.

Default
The default name is the Switch's MAC address.
Command Mode
MST Configuration Mode.
Command Default Level
Level: 15.
Usage Guideline
Two or more switches with the same VLAN mapping and configuration version number are considered to be in
different MST regions if the region names are different.
Example
This example shows how to configure the MSTP configuration name to "MName".
Switch# configure terminal
Switch(config)# spanning-tree mst configuration
Switch(config-mst)# name MName
Switch(config-mst)#

This command is used to configure the revision number for the MST configuration. Use the no form of this
command to revert to the default setting.

Specifies the name given for a specified MST region. The name
string has a maximum length of 32 characters and the type is a
general string which allows spaces.
Specifies the revision number for the MST configuration. The range
