timeout idle
To configure an idle timeout period for the IPoE and PPPoE subscriber sessions on BNG, use the timeout
idle command in dynamic template type configuration mode. To disable this feature, use the no form of this
command.
timeout idle seconds [threshold rate] [traffic {both| inbound| outbound}]
no timeout idle seconds [threshold duration] [traffic {both| inbound| outbound}]

Dynamic Template Commands
Idle timeout value for the subscriber sessions, in
seconds.
The range is from 60 to 4320000.
Configures a threshold to track the duration of
session idleness.
Duration of threshold, in minute(s) per packet.
The range is from 1 to 10000. Default is 0.
This value should be less than the idle

timeout value.
Considers the direction of traffic while deriving
the duration of session idleness.
The default is inbound direction.
Considers inbound and outbound traffic while
deriving the duration of session idleness.
Considers inbound traffic only while deriving the
duration of session idleness.
Considers outbound traffic only while deriving the
duration of session idleness.
