PHYSICAL INJURY HAZARD. Do not remove the instrument
cover. There are no components inside the 7300/7500/7500 Fast system that you can
safely service yourself. If you suspect a problem, contact an Applied Biosystems Service
Representative.
PHYSICAL INJURY HAZARD. During instrument operation, the
sample block can be heated to 100 °C. Before performing the following procedure, be
sure to wait until the sample block reaches room temperature.
The following procedure explains how to eliminate fluorescent contaminants from the
sample block of the 7300/7500/7500 Fast instrument. Perform the procedure to resolve
problematic background runs where one or more wells consistently exhibit abnormally
high signals, indicating the presence of a fluorescent contaminant.
