Tendere o allentare la cinghia, operan-
do sulle viti (24) e (25) di fissaggio dei

bile (26) per tendere la cinghia, vice-
versa abbassare il tenditore mobile

(26) per allentare la cinghia.
Se il blocco motore è stato rimosso
dal telaio per operare sul tenditore
mobile, è possibile utilizzare l'apposi-
to attrezzo di tensionamento (27)

dotato di spintore (R).
Ruotare lo spintore (R) in senso antio-
rario per tendere la cinghia, ruotarlo in
senso orario per allentare la cinghia.
Serrare la vite (24), la vite (25) e le
viti (23). Sollecitare leggermente la
cinghia con un dito e leggere il valore
della frequenza della sua oscillazione
(Hz) sul Mathesis.
Se il valore non è corretto, ripetere

l'operazione descritta sopra, mentre
se il valore è corretto, accertarsi che

le viti (25), (24) e (23) siano serrate alla
coppia prescritta (Sez. C 3).
Rimuovere i due attrezzi (18) bloccag-

Serrare le viti (17) alla coppia prescrit-
ta (Sez. C 3).

Importante

decrease belt tension.
Raise the mobile tensioner (26) to
increase belt tension; lower it to
decrease belt tension.
If the engine has been removed from
the frame for this job, you can use the
special tensioning tool (27) with its
pusher (R).
Turn the pusher (R) anti-clockwise to
tension the belt, or clockwise to
slacken it off.
Tighten screw (24), screw (25) and
screws (23) on completion of the
adjustment. Pluck the belt with your
finger again and read the new
oscillation frequency (in Hz) from the
Mathesis tester.
If the value is still not correct, repeat
the above operation as necessary.
If the value is correct, make sure that
the screws (25), (24) and (23) are
tightened to the specified torque
(see Sect. C 3).
Remove the two cam locking tools
(18).
Refit the screws (16) and spring
washers (17).
Tighten the screws (16) to the
specified torque (see Sect. C 3).
Remove the optical sensor,
disconnect the diagnostic tester and
remove the crankshaft locking tool.
Caution
Whenever you adjust belt
tension you should also check the
timing (Sect. N 4.1).
If it has been removed, refit the
engine in the frame (Sect. N 1).
Replace all removed engine, frame
and fairing parts.
