Regolazione cavi di
comando acceleratore e
starter
acceleratore e/o starter si può
compromettere la registrazione del
corpo farfallato. Consultare il
paragrafo corrispondente prima di
intervenire sui registri dei cavi
sopracitati.
Rimuovere la semicarenatura destra
come descritto alla (Sez. E 2).
La manopola di comando
dell'acceleratore in tutte le posizioni
di sterzata deve avere una corsa a
vuoto, misurata sulla periferia del
bordino della manopola, di 2÷ 4 mm.
Per regolare la corsa della maopola
comando acceleratore è necessario
-
agire sull'apposito registro (A) situato
A
in corrispondenza del comando
stesso.
Regolazioni più consistenti sul cavo
acceleratore si possono effettuare
agendo sul registro (1) posto sul lato
1
destro del corpo farfallato.
Dopo aver sfilato il cappuccio,
allentare il controdado (2) e operare
sul registro (1) per stabilire il gioco
prescritto.
Serrare il controdado (2) e inserire il
cappuccio di protezione.
Registrare la corsa del cavo di
2
comando starter ruotando nella
posizione massima la leva di
comando sul manubrio e verificando
che la piastrina (5) sia in appoggio sul
relativo finecorsa (B).
Controllare in questa condizione
che il motore giri a un regime di
2000 giri/min.
Agire analogamente a quanto
descritto per il cavo dell'acceleratore,
operando sul registro (3) dopo aver
sollevato il cappuccio protettivo e

allentato il controdado (4).
Periodicamente è necessario
5
controllare la condizione delle guaine
del cavo comando acceleratore.
Non devono presentare
schiacciamenti o screpolature.
Per evitare questi inconvenienti lubri-
ficare periodicamente le estremità dei
cavi di ogni trasmissione flessibile
con grasso prescritto.
Verificare, agendo sul comando, il
funzionamento scorrevole del cavo
interno: se si manifestano attriti o
impuntamenti sostituirlo.

Adjusting the throttle and
choke cables
Caution
Adjustment of the throttle and/
or choke cables may affect the
throttle body adjustment. Before you
adjust these cables, read the above
paragraph.
Remove the RH half fairing as
instructed in Section E 2.
The throttle twistgrip must have free
travel of 2÷ 4 mm measured at the
circumference of the twistgrip in all
steering positions.
To adjust twistgrip travel, turn the
adjuster (A) at the twistgrip itself.
If the throttle cable requires more
adjustment, use the adjuster (1) on
the RH side of the throttle body.
Pull off the cap, loosen the lock nut
(2and turn the adjuster (1) to establish
the required free travel.
Tighten the lock nut (2) and refit the
protective cap.
To adjust the travel of the choke
cable, turn the cold start lever on the
handlebars fully on and check that the
arm (5) rests against travel stop (B).
Make sure that with the choke in this
position the engine turns at
2000 rpm.
Adjust the choke cable in the same
way as the throttle cable. Pull off the
protective cap, slacken the lock nut
(4) and turn the adjuster (3) to
establish the required engine speed.
At regular intervals check the throttle
cable sheaths for any pinching or
cracking.
To keep your cables in good
condition, lubricate the cable ends
with the specified grease at regular
intervals.
Operate the throttle twistgrip and
check that the cable slides freely.
Replace the cable if there are any
signs of rubbing or jamming.
