The tank ventilation system is of the "closed" type.

This system prevents the petrol vapours w h i c h form in the tank or fuel supply system from discharging

into the atmosphere and releasing the light hydrocarbons (HC) they contain, thus causing pollution.

The system consists of a tank ( 5 ) , a multi-function valve (4) for controlling the vapour f l o w , a t w o - w a y

safety and ventilation valve (3) located in the fuel filler, an activated charcoal filter (2) and a vapour

cut-off valve (1) which is controlled by the control unit ( 7 ) .
