Replacing timing belt

1. Apply a force at the point indicated on the

automatic tensioner and move the ten-

sioner mobile pointer to the position of

greatest tension. Then lock the belt ten-

sioner retaining nut.

2. Fasten the injection pump pulley by tight-

ening the retaining bolts to the specified

1860965000 from its housing.

3. Turn the crankshaft through t w o turns in

its normal direction of rotation, release the

belt tensioner retaining nut and align fixed

indicator (1) on the tensioner mount w i t h

the belt tensioner mobile indicator. Secure

the tensioner nut and then tighten to the

specified torque. Refit parts removed pre-

viously by carrying removal operations in

reverse order.
