S E L E C T O R L E V E R POSITION SENSOR
The sensor, located at the top of the gearbox casing, detects the position of the selector lever (to w h i c h
it is connected mechanically) and informs the control module via an appropriate electrical signal.
The module lights up the warning light on the instrument panel.

The resistance of the line pressure control
solenoid STH can be measured by dis-
connecting the connector and connect-
ing an ohmmeter as shown in the figure.
Resistance: 3.5 ± 0.2 ohm at 25 C
The sensor also switches on the
reversing lights when reverse is
engaged, and enables the starter
motor only when the selector
lever is at position N or P.
The combination output sig-
nals present on the various ter-
minals of the sensor is s h o w n
in the f o l l o w i n g table.
