SOSTITUZIONE FILTRO ARIA

Il filtro aria deve essere sostituito
agli intervalli prescritti sulla tabella
manutenzione periodica. Per
accedere alla scatola filtro è
necessario sollevare il serbatoio
carburante nel modo descritto al
capitolo "Sollevamento serbatoio
carburante" della sezione
"Mototelaio".
Per rimuovere il filtro operare come
segue:
❍ Sganciare le linguette (1) di
fissaggio del coperchio su entrambi
i lati della scatola filtro.
❍ Rimuovere il coperchio (2) con la
cartuccia filtro aria.
❍ Rimuovere la cartuccia filtro (3) dal
coperchio e sostituirla.
Note
Un filtro intasato, riduce
l'entrata dell'aria, riducendo la
potenza del motore e provocando
incrostazioni nelle candele. Non
usare il motociclo senza filtro. Le
impurità presenti nell'aria
potrebbero entrare nel motore
danneggiandolo.
▲ Il filtro nuovo va montato in modo
che le alette risultino orientate
trasversalmente al senso di marcia.
▲ Reinstallare correttamente la
cartuccia filtro (3) nella sede interna
al coperchio scatola filtro (2) e
rimontare tutti gli elementi e la
struttura rimossa.
Importante
In caso di impiego su strade
particolarmente polverose o umide
provvedere alla sostituzione più
frequentemente di quanto
prescritto.

CHANGING THE AIR FILTER

The air filter must be changed at the
intervals indicated in the routine
maintenance schedule. To reach
the filter box, raise the fuel tank as
described in "Raising the fuel tank"
under section "Frame".
To remove the filter, proceed as
follows:
❍ Release the cover retaining
clips (1) on both sides of the
filter box.
❍ Remove the cover (2) with the air
filter cartridge.
❍ Remove the filter cartridge (3)
from the cover and replace it.
Note
A clogged air filter will reduce
air intake and engine power and
foul the spark plugs. Do not run the
engine without the air filter.
Running the engine without a filter
will draw impurities into the engine
and may damage the engine.
▲ Fit the new filter with fins
transverse to the vehicle direction
of travel.
▲ Fit the filter cartridge (3) inside
the filter box cover (2) and refit all
components previously removed.
Caution
If the vehicle is used in very
damp or dusty conditions, the air
filter cartridge must be changed
more frequently.
