❍ Rimuovere le viti speciali (6).

❍ Dopo aver rimosso il coperchio (4)
è necessario sfilare il supporto
ammortizzatore di sterzo (7).
❍ Rimuovere dal telaio l'interruttore
a chiave (8) completo di piastrino (9).

❍ Smontare il piastrino (9)
dall'interruttore a chiave (8).

Rimontaggio immobilizer
▲ Inserire il cavo dell'antanna
immobilizer (5) nel piastrino (9).
▲ Montare il piastrino sull'interruttore
a chiave (8), facendo passare il cavo
dell'antenna nell'apposita cava (A) del
pastrino stesso.
● Applicare frenafiletti sulle due viti
speciali (6).
▲ Montare l'interruttore a chiave (con
piastrino e antenna) sul telaio (10),
impuntando le due viti speciali (6).
▲ Portare le viti a battuta e serrarle
alla coppia prescritta.

Note per Monster S4 Fogarty
Serrare le viti speciali (6) fino a
romperne la testa (B).
● Applicare una goccia di Loctite
all'interno del coperchio (4) nei punti
C
indicati in figura.
▲ Installare con cura l'antenna (5)
all'interno del coperchio (4),
bloccandola con i due dentini (C) del
2
coperchio stesso.
▲ Montare il coperchio
sull'interruttore a chiave,
accompagnando il cavo dell'antenna
verso il basso.
▲ Bloccare il coperchio impuntando
i due dadi ciechi (3).
▲ Serrare i dadi alla coppia prescritta.
Smontaggio chiave rossa con
transponder
❍ Bloccare l'impugnatura della
chiave (5) in una morsa provvista di
7
ganasce protettive.
Con pinze estrarre la chiave (6),
sfilare le protezioni (7) e togliere il
trasponder (8).
Eseguire le sostituzioni delle parti
danneggiate e rimontare tutto
inversamente a quanto descritto
sopra.
❍ Remove special screws (6).
Note for Monster S4 Fogarty
❍ Remove cover (4) and then
remove steering damper support
(7).
❍ Remove key switch (8) from the
frame together with relevant plate
(9).
❍ Remove plate (9) from key switch
(8).
Refitting the immobilizer
▲ Route the immobilizer antenna
wire (5) through the plate (9).
▲ Fit plate to key-operated switch
(8). Thread the antenna wire through
the plate slot (A).
● Apply threadlocker to the two
special screws (6).
▲ Install the key-operated switch
(with plate and antenna) to the
frame (10) and start the two special
screws (6) in their holes.
▲ Turn the screws fully in and
tighten to the specified torque.
Note for Monster S4 Fogarty
Tighten special screws (6) until their
head (B) breaks.
● Apply a drop of Loctite inside the
cover (4) at the positions shown.
▲ Locate antenna (5) to cover (4),
and secure it in place with the two
pegs (C) of the cover.
▲ Fit the cover on the key-operated
switch, easing the antenna wire
downwards.
▲ Start the two blind nuts (3) on the
threads.
▲ Tighten nuts to the specified
torque.
Removing the red transponder
key
❍ Clamp the key handgrip (5) in a
vice with suitable protection jaws.
Use pliers to slide out the key (6),
pull out the protections (7) and
remove the transponder (8).
Replace damaged parts and reverse
the disassembly operations to re-
assemble.
