SOSTITUZIONE OLIO MOTORE
E CARTUCCIA FILTRO
Note
Questa operazione deve
essere eseguita a motore caldo
(motoveicolo spento) in quanto l'olio
in queste condizioni risulta più
fluido e la sua evacuazione è più
rapida e completa.
❍ Rimuovere il tappo di scarico (1)
dalla coppa motore e scaricare l'olio
usato.
Attenzione
Non disperdere l'olio usato e/
o le cartucce filtro nell'ambiente.
▲ Controllare che non vi siano
particelle metalliche attaccate alla
estremità magnetica del tappo di
scarico e riavvitarlo nella coppa con
la relativa guarnizione.
▲ Serrare alla coppia prescritta.
❍ Utilizzando la chiave speciale
(cod. 0675.03.210) disponibile
presso il servizio ricambi Ducati
oppure con una comune chiave per
filtri, rimuovere la cartuccia (2) filtro
A
olio dalla coppa.
Importante
Il filtro rimosso non può
essere riutilizzato.
▲ Montare una cartuccia nuova,
avendo cura di lubrificare con olio
motore la guarnizione.
▲ Avvitarla nella sua sede e
bloccarla alla coppia prescritta.
Ad ogni 2 cambi d'olio è
consigliabile pulire il filtro
aspirazione olio a rete.
❍ Svitare il tappo esterno (3) e svitare
l'elemento filtrante (4) e sfilarla.
❍ Procedere alla sua pulizia con aria
compressa e benzina facendo
attenzione a non lacerare la reticella.
▲ Rimontare il filtro a rete (4) e
relativa guarnizione (5) sul tappo (3).
❍ Rimuovere il tappo di carico (6) ed
effettuare il rifornimento con olio
del tipo prescritto (vedi tabella
"Rifornimenti" alla sezione
"Generalità") fino a raggiungere il
livello MAX (A).
▲ Chiudere il tappo di carico e fare
funzionare il motore al minimo per
qualche minuto.
▲ Verificare che non ci siano perdite
di olio e che la lampada spia sul
cruscotto si spenga dopo qualche
secondo dall'accensione del motore.
In caso contrario fermare il motore
ed eseguire le opportune verifiche.
▲ Spegnere il motore e dopo
qualche minuto controllare che il
livello dell'olio corrisponda a quello
prescritto; se necessario ripristinare
il livello max.
▲ Rimontare le strutture rimosse.
CHANGING THE ENGINE OIL
AND FILTER CARTRIDGE
Note
Change the oil when the
engine is hot (but off). In these
conditions the oil is more fluid and
will drain more rapidly and
completely.
❍ Remove the drain plug (1) from
the oil sump and allow the oil to
drain off.
Warning
Dispose of oil and/or filter
cartridges in compliance with
environmental protection
regulations.
▲ Remove any metallic deposits
from the end of the magnetic drain
plug. Refit the drain plug complete
with seal to the sump.
▲ Tighten to the specified torque.
❍ Using the special tool (part no.
0675.03.210 - available from Ducati
Spare Parts Dept.) or a standard filter
wrench, remove the filter cartridge
(2) from the oil sump.
Caution
Do not reuse cartridges.
▲ Grease the filter seal with engine
oil and then fit the new cartridge.
▲ Screw the cartridge into position
and then tighten to the specified
torque.
Every two oil changes, clean the oil
intake mesh filter.
❍ Undo the outer cap (3) and slide
out the mesh filter (4).
❍ Clean the mesh filter with fuel
and compressed air. Care must be
taken not to break the filter mesh.
▲ Refit the mesh filter (4) and its
seal (5) on the outer cap (3).
❍ Remove the filler plug (6) and fill
with the recommended oil (see
"Fuel and Lubricants" under
section "Description"). Fill until the
oil reaches the MAX (A) mark.
▲ Refit the filler plug. Run the
engine at idling speed for several
minutes.
▲ Check for oil leaks. Check that the
oil pressure light on the instrument
panel switches off after few
seconds when the engine is started.
If this is not the case, switch off and
trace the fault.
▲ Switch off the engine and allow
the oil to settle for several minutes.
Check the oil level and top up to the
Max. level where necessary.
▲ Refit all components previously
removed.
