CONTROLLO USURA E
SOSTITUZIONE PASTIGLIE
FRENO
Attenzione
Il liquido dell'impianto frenante
è corrosivo. A contatto degli occhi o
della pelle; lavare quindi
abbondantemente con acqua ed
eventualmente consultare un
medico.
Importante
Alla consegna del motoveicolo,
dopo la sostituzione delle pastiglie,
informare il cliente che per almeno
100 Km dovrà utilizzare il freno
anteriore con cautela, al fine di
consentire un corretto e completo
assestamento dei materiali d'attrito.
Freno anteriore
❍ Controllare attraverso la fessura
ricavata sulla molla (1) della pinza che
risulti visibile il solco ricavato sulla
superficie di attrito delle pastiglie.
Importante
Se anche una sola delle
pastiglie risulta usurata è
necessario sostituirle entrambe.
Note
Sostituire le pastiglie che
presentano un aspetto lucido o
"vetroso".
Procedere alla sostituzione delle
pastiglie in questo modo:
❍ Rimuovere la copiglia di sicurezza
(2) dai perni tenuta pastiglie.
❍ Spingere i pistoncini della pinza
completamente dentro ai propri
alloggiamenti, divaricando le
pastiglie usurate.
❍ Sfilare i perni (3) di tenuta pastiglie
verso l'esterno.
❍ Rimuovere la molla (1) di tenuta
pastiglie posta tra le semipinze.
❍ Sfilare le pastiglie usurate.
▲ Inserire le pastiglie nuove e
relativa molla (1).
▲ Infilare i perni di centraggio e
bloccarli con le copiglie di sicurezza
(2).
▲ Azionare ripetutamente la leva del
freno per permettere l'assestamento
delle pastiglie sotto l'azione di spinta
del liquido freni.
● Verificare che il livello nel
serbatoio della pompa non sia al di
sotto della tacca di MIN.
In caso contrario provvedere al
rabbocco procedendo come segue:
❍ Ruotare il semimanubrio per
livellare il serbatoio.
❍ Rimuovere il coperchio del
serbatoio svitando le due viti a
croce (4).
❍ Rimuovere la membrana dal
serbatoio.
CHECKING BRAKE PAD
WEAR. CHANGING BRAKE
PADS
Warning
Corrosion and irritant hazard.
Brake fluid is corrosive. Avoid
contact with eyes and skin. In the
event of accidental contact, wash
the affected part with abundant
quantities of running water and call
a doctor, if necessary.
Caution
Running in new pads. Please
inform the Customer that new pads
must be run-in carefully for the first
hundred kilometers to allow the
friction material to bed in
completely.
Front brake
❍ Check pad wear through the slot
on the caliper spring (1). The groove
between the two pads of friction
material must be visible.
Caution
If one of the pads is worn,
then change both pads.
Note
Change pads which are shiny
or vitrified.
To change the pads, proceed as
follows:
❍ Remove the spring clip (2) from
the pad retaining pins.
❍ Force the caliper pistons back
into their seats by forcing the brake
pads apart.
❍ Pull the pad retaining pins (3)
outwards and remove.
❍ Remove the pad retaining spring
(1) from between the two caliper
halves.
❍ Remove the worn pads.
▲ Insert the new pads and the
spring (1).
▲ Insert the centering pins and fix
them with the spring clips (2).
▲ Operate the brake lever
repeatedly so that the pads bed in
under the action of the brake fluid.
● Check that the brake fluid level in
the master cylinder reservoir is
above the MIN mark.
If necessary, top up as follows:
❍ Turn the handlebar so that the
reservoir is level.
❍ Unscrew the two cross-headed
screws (4) and remove the reservoir
cover.
❍ Remove the inner membrane
from the reservoir.
