(a) Disconnect the A17 Accelerator Pedal Position (APP)
sensor connector.
(b) Disconnect the A55 ECM connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the
table below.
Standard resistance (Check for open)

Standard resistance (Check for short)
EPA
VPA (A17-6) or VPA (A55-55) - body ground
EPA (A17-5) or EPA (A55-59) - body ground
VCPA (A17-4) or VCPA (A55-57) - body ground
VPA2 (A17-3) or VPA2 (A55-56) - body ground
EPA2 (A17-2) or EPA2 (A55-60) - body ground
VCP2 (A17-1) or VCP2 (A55-58) - body ground

(d) Reconnect the APP sensor connector.
(e) Reconnect the ECM connector.

(a) Disconnect the A17 APP sensor connector.
(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the
table below.
