CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS

(a) Disconnect the C43 or C47 OCV connector.
(b) Measure the resistance between the terminals of the
OCV.
Standard resistance

(c) Reconnect the OCV connector.

REPLACE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL
CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (See page
481)
(a) Disconnect the C43 or C47 OCV connector.
(b) Disconnect the C55 ECM connector.
(c) Measure the resistance between the terminals.
Standard resistance (Check for open)
Tester Connection
OC1+ (C55-58) - C43-1
OC1- (C55-57) - C43-2
OC2+ (C55-52) - C47-1
OC2- (C55-51) - C47-2
Standard resistance (Check for short)
Tester Connection
OC1+ (C55-58) or C43-1 - Body ground
OC1- (C55-57) or C43-2 - Body ground
OC2+ (C55-52) or C47-1 - Body ground
OC2- (C55-51) or C47-2 - Body ground
(d) Reconnect the OCV connector.
(e) Reconnect the ECM connector.
