[Pr.156] Manual pulse generator smoothing time constant
• The smoothing process smooths the speed change in the manual pulse generator operation. Note that the input response
is delayed by the time set by the smoothing processing.
• When a value outside the range is set, the error "Outside manual pulse generator smoothing time constant range error"
(error code: 1DC6H) occurs when the PLC READY signal [Y0] turns ON, preventing the READY signal [X0] from turning
ON.
• Since the input cycle of "[Cd.55] Input value for manual pulse generator via CPU" has an interval of 8.0 ms, the smoothing
time constant is rounded down to the nearest multiple of 8. (Example: When a setting value is within the range of 8 to 15
ms, the operation is performed with a time constant of 8 ms.)
• The smoothing time constant is not reflected at a stop cause occurrence or at a deceleration stop via the "0" setting of
"[Cd.21] Manual pulse generator enable flag".
■Basic concept of speed change
The speed change occurs due to a discrepancy between the scan time of the CPU module and the input cycle in "[Cd.55]
Input value for manual pulse generator via CPU". As shown in the figure below, the speed change can be suppressed by
setting "[Pr.156] Manual pulse generator smoothing time constant" to a value equal to or more than the maximum scan time.
• When speed change occurs
As shown in the diagram below, speed change occurs when the scan time is larger than the input cycle of "[Cd.55] Input value
for manual pulse generator via CPU".

• When speed change is suppressed Example: When a value twice as large as the scan time is set in "[Pr.156] Manual pulse
generator smoothing time constant"
