The Cisco TelePresence Administrator window appears.
Step 9 Verify that the status of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (seen in the lower left portion of
the window) is Enabled/Up.
Step 10 Make sure that the new codec is running Cisco TelePresence Administration Software version 1.9.0 or
later.
Note The replacement codec might come pre-loaded with version 1.7.1.1 software. In this case, you cannot
immediately load the newest version of CTS software and need to perform an interim upgrade to 1.7.4.

Navigate to Troubleshooting > Hardware Setup to verify that the cameras, displays, speakers, and

Upgrading CTS Software on a Secondary Codec

All codecs for a TX9000 ship with release 1.9.0 of the CTS software. If you must get a field-replaceable
unit for a codec, the new codec should be shipped to you with release 1.9.0 already installed. In the
highly unlikely event that the new codec ships with a pre-1.9.0 release, the software must be upgraded
to at least release 1.9.0.

Delete the MAC address of the previous codec from the Cisco Unified CM application user profile
that is used in Cisco TelePresence Manager (CTS-Manager).
Add the new codec to the application user profile and click Save.
Navigate to Troubleshooting > Hardware Setup > Table Configuration.
Click Start to display the Table Configuration options.
Under Table Shape, select the correct table shape.
Under Table Size, select the correct table size.
Under Table Distance, select the correct distance between the bezel of the system and the rear edge
of the table
