Deviations from normal Operation

Removing the Paper Jam

Attention!
Danger caused by toothed belts that may run in
the marked area (LD).
Warning!
Mind sharp corners and edges when working in
the Printer area: Risk of injury!
Error message of a paper jam:
1. Remove the paper in the indicated position;
call up the location of the jam, if required:
i
Touch
and the desired module in the
graphic
2. Check the possible locations in the given
order only if the jammed paper cannot be
found:
− Open the bottom Transport Unit TU:
Wind out up to 3 prints by hand, some of
them from the turnaround roller at the
entrance of the TU
− In the Switching Gear SG before the
transfer to the TU:
If required, lift the guide plate and turn the
drive roller by hand to check whether there
is still a cut paper in the Switching Gear.
− Top Transport Unit TU:
Lift the guide plate and check whether
paper is underneath.
− Entrance and exit of the Print Engine PE
− Lane Distributor and transfer from the
Lane Distributor to the Sheet Transfer ST
− Check again whether paper jam is still
reported
− Pull out the Sheet Transfer ST
− Check the print roller in the Print Engine:
Take out the top guide plate, turn the print
roller forward by hand to transport out any
paper that may still be inside.
3. Pull out the paper preferably in paper
advance direction
