Network Orders

Via PDM Server including the d-workflow
software the machine can be connected with
several Workstations in the lab. Any time these
Workstations can send completely prepared
orders to the machine for printing. Every one of
these orders consists of the corresponding image
files and an order description file with information
about the back print text, print size, number of
prints/image, configuration etc.
Supported formats:
1. PFDF 4.1 and 4.2 (Photofinishing Data Format)
for the complete orders:
The d-lab is able to receive PFDF 4.1 and 4.2
from the d-workflow (network orders), but only
PFDF 4.2 is able to send to the d-workflow
(Autosave).
2. jpg, bmp, tif (uncompressed) for the single
images of a complete order
For every required paper widths and surface at
least one per forma order configuration for file
prints must have been created. If this is not the
case:
– the message that the order cannot be
processed will be displayed (order was started
manually)
or
– the order has an error status (automatic start)
and can no longer be processed on the d-lab.
As the image editing is done already on the
Workstation, the orders are executed
automatically and without preview on the d-lab.
The corrections entered under Production
balance / digital will be effective.
