Cleaning the exposure filters

Due to various ambient conditions (dust, fume
etc.), cleaning of the exposure filters is required.
Caution!
Be sure to switch off the scanner lamp as
otherwise the exposure filters may burn.
Do not activate microswitches manually during the
cleaning.
− Lock the lamp opening mechanism with the
black lever.
− Lift the filter cover a little (1) and pull it out
towards you (2): Now there is access to the
filter wheel.
− Blow off the dust (compressed air can with a
spray tube).
− If the filters are quite dirty, clean them carefully
with an optical cloth or with optic pads (see
below).
Caution!
Hot parts
− When cleaning the very thin and highly fragile
glasses of the exposure filters (1), support
them from below to avoid breaking.
Avoid by all means to touch the filter glasses
with bare hands.
