Operation
Special case:
A paper jam occurs during Shutdown of the ma-
chine or upon a Reset.
The paper jam is only reported when the ma-
chine is started again: During this time, the Info
function cannot be called up.
Procedure if the paper is not found and cannot
be removed:
− Confirm the error message about 5 x:
The main menu appears.
− Call up the Info function with
modules in the graphic one after the other to
find their locations
Printer, general
Proceed as follows in case of a paper jam in the
Printer part:
− All sheets in front of the print engine are not
advanced.
− Behind the jam position: All sheets in the print
engine and/or behind it are automatically ad-
vanced into the Paper Processor.
− Sheets which are jammed in the Printer have
to be removed by the operator
− The location and the number of sheets can be
called up on the screen (
sired module in the graphic).
− Assembly groups which have to be pulled out
of the Printer to remove the jam are not ener-
gised.
− The Printer is automatically switched ready
for printing again after the operator has re-
moved the jammed sheets and cleared the
error message or triggered a Reset.
