PBL test with laser point

The laser working point is determined during the
PBL test with laser point. This point defines the
light intensity for the three color channels (red,
green, blue). The light intensity is adjusted in such
a way that the preset maximum densities are
reached. However, the required maximum
densities now cannot always be reached with
acceptable blooming effects on the paper.
Blooming results in blurred edges (color fringes)
and overexposure in one color. Therefore the
maximum density of a color channel is reduced to
a density with acceptable color fringe.
See Defining new maximum densities for a paper
in this chapter
Activate the box with Laser point:
1. Upon first calibration of a paper the PBL is
automatically printed with laser point if the
cassette code indicates that a paper is used
for the first time.
2. When the type of a paper changes.
