Tests
Restrictions
In the following cases the required densities
cannot be obtained:
- The required densities cannot be obtained for
the selected paper due to the paper
characteristics. The maximum possible
densities of a paper can be measured on a strip
of paper which was completely exposed to
daylight and then developed.
- The required density cannot be measured by
the internal densitometer.
- The system cannot provide enough light for the
required density (e.g. for conventional papers).
- The system provides to much light for the
required density, i.e. it cannot go below a
certain minimum density (e.g. DMax = 1.7 on
digital papers).
- The blooming effect is too high.
In case of PBL with laser point the secondary
criterion the blooming effect is checked in
addition to the maximum density. If the
required density results in strong blooming
effects the light intensity will be reduced until a
slightly lower maximum density without
blooming is obtained.
