Black and White Prints

Basis: Color negative

The button B/W is used in the order configuration
to eliminate colors by calculation when frames are
digitized. The prints are then black-and-white.

Basis: Black and white film

B/W films can only be handled in the print modes
Autoprint and Manual positioning. The Reorder
function cannot be used for this purpose.
Before inserting the B/W film, one of the order
configurations set under the film type B/W must be
selected.
If an order configuration with the film type Color
negative is selected, the Prescanner expects a
color negative film. The handling is stopped with
an error message and the B/W film is ejected.
To produce prints with a color cast, a correction
with saturation and color up to +9 can be created
and used. This is also possible with Change
configuration.
It may happen that thin unmasked B/W films
cannot be positioned and therefore cannot be
printed. Ilford XP2 films are not printed (no
recognizable film base).
There is no scratch correction for B/W films. If it is
activated, it is automatically deactivated when B/W
films are printed and is automatically activated
again when color negatives are printed.

Sepia Prints

Basis: Black and white film

1. Set the Saturation in the correction
configuration on a value > 0. Settings of < 0
would result in an image processing error.
2. Enter the desired color correction.
